Holly Thompson Named the Storozynski Writer in Residence at Notre Dame
We are excited to congratulate recent MA graduate Holly Thompson on her position as the 2025-2026 Storozynski Writer in Residence at Notre Dame University Reilly Center.
The Storozynski Writing Fellowship, sponsored by the Health, Humanities, and Society (HHS) program in collaboration with the Creative Writing program, supports emerging writers whose work engages with themes such as physical and mental illness, healthcare, disability, and the body. Congratulations, Holly!

Since her time at WFU, Holly has been a Teaching Fellow in the Department of English and Comparative Literature at UNC Chapel Hill and the 2025 Erika Lindemann Fellow for their Rhetoric, Composition, and Literacy Studies program. She has recently received an Arts and Humanities research grant for the project “Forever Chemicals in North Carolina: A Story Archive.”
