Founded in 1974, FC2 ( is an independent press dedicated to publishing artistically adventurous fiction. In 2017, the editorial operations of FC2 moved to Wake Forest, where student fellows and interns have the opportunity to participate in the publishing process. This spring, the Creative Writing Program is inaugurating the FC2 Reading Series, which brings FC2 authors to campus to read from their stories and novels, discuss contemporary publishing with aspiring writers, and familiarize the community with FC2 and Wake Forest’s role in the press’s present and future.
